The Niobrara County Fair is held annually the first week of August. County Fair is an exciting time for youth and adults alike, with exhibitors ranging in age from two years old to eighty and beyond. During this week, the Niobrara County Fairgrounds transforms into a buzzing center of activity, as children, livestock, and pets fill the barns, show arenas, and everywhere in between. Throughout the year, local 4-H and FFA youth raise their animals, perfect their showmanship techniques, and create works of art in all mediums County Fair serving as the culminating showcase. Community members are also invited and encouraged to showcase their own static works in hundreds of Open Exhibit categories.
