Albany County Fair

The Albany County Fair is sure to bring a smile to everyone's face. All residents of Albany County are invited to exhibit and visit. The Fair is an opportunity for the locals to show off their hard work from the past year. You will find projects from all facets of the hobby and agricultural worlds including; livestock, sewing, cooking, rocketry, robotics, photography, woodworking, leather craft, home arts and gardening.

Those who work hard also get to play hard during fair. We have lots of activities going on throughout the week including Family Night at the Fair, the Pancake Breakfast (YUM!) and Pig Wrestling. Check out our schedule and take a gander out to the fairgrounds on south 287 just half a mile south of I-80 for one or more of our exciting family friendly activities.

Changes for the 2018 Albany County Fair are:

1- No dogs allowed on Fair Grounds (dogs may be in camper area) ( Does not apply to 4-H dogs while competing in classes)

2- Minimum weight on Market Lambs will be 110 pounds.

3- Minimum weight on Market Goats will be 60 pounds.

4- No horns on Market Goats.

5- Late showmanship entries will be accepted with at $50 late fee. Showmanship classes will be listed with the market classes in fair book.

6- There will be an Open Egg Contest.

7- There will be an ADGA Dairy Goat Milk Test.

8- Miniature beef projects must be declared as mini's at the January weigh-in. At fair them must be under 46 inches tall. They can not weigh over 1000 pounds but must meet a minimum requirement of 16 pounds per inch of hip height.
