Each year Flaming Gorge Days is held during the first week of summer! To celebrate the beginning of the season Flaming Gorge Days, along with the City of River, puts on the Festival in the Park. This allows residents and tourists alike to enjoy the outdoors and the natural beauty that the City of Green River has to offer.

Located at Evers Park, Festival in the Park includes a variety of food and merchandise vendors, music, dancing, karaoke and much more. Located near the Festival is the 3 on 3 Basketball tournament, Children's Entertainment, as well as Expedition Island which hosts the dodgeball tournament, 4 on 4 volleyball tournament and the horseshoe tournament. Evers Park also includes a splash park, playground and plenty of green grass to lay out a blanket and enjoy the sun or the shade.
