| Description | Location: Super 8 Motel 5/10K Mountain Plains Heritage Park (MPHP) Trail allows walkers to experience the western plains as they used to be complete with pioneer cabin, windmill, and a life-size bronze sculpture of a buffalo while featuring a panoramic view of the nearby Big Horn Mountains. A plaque helps visitors identify each peak viewed from this location. This trail crosses the Historic Bozeman Trail made famous during the gold rush, the terminus of the railroad system that helped settle the west, and continues through a wildlife reserve featuring signage related water fowl common to the western plains. To get to MPHP, walkers will travel on the shoulder of the N/S By-Pass Road and will walk on residential streets to return to the start/finish. | ||
